MEET MARIAN

Dr. Oppenheimer has over thirty years of experience in the field of psychology and is a licensed psychologist in both California as well as New York. During her years of practice, she has gained expertise working with adolescents through late adulthood. Dr. Oppenheimer specializes in the treatment of Depression, Anxiety Disorders including OCD, Bipolar Disorders, Relationship Issues, and Trauma including PTSD. She also has expertise in providing support and guidance for patients affected by mental illness, and members of law enforcement. In addition, as a displaced resident of the Pacific Palisades in Los Angeles, Dr Marian Oppenheimer is in a unique position to provide support to others affected by the recent fires.

Dr. Oppenheimer utilizes an eclectic approach to therapy to create individualized treatment plans specific to each patient’s needs. She relies on evidence-based treatment approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy that focuses on reshaping negative thought patterns and behaviors, and Humanistic Therapy that focuses on the individual’s subjective experience as well as growth, as well as Family Systems theory which views families as interconnected emotional systems where each member's behaviors influence and is influenced by others.

Dr. Oppenheimer's life's work as a psychologist has provided her with the pleasure of providing mental health services to a wide range of patients. Dr. Oppenheimer does not accept insurance at this time, but patients with PPO plans may be eligible to receive up to 70% reimbursement from qualifying insurance companies. And on a limited basis Dr. Oppenheimer can offer a sliding scale.
